An update on the Bowden project

The reason for the change of publication plans is that the Bowden project fits much better with the Moon Arrow Press’s overall project of recovering the history of the visual arts in Adelaide in the late 20th century. The portfolio in the Adelaide Art Photographers 1970-2000 book is a window onto the photography that I was doing during the 1970-2000 period.
I made a lot of photos of mannequins in shop windows and the picture below would be part of the first section, if it makes the cut:
The Bowden Archives and Other Marginalia book will supplement Gary Haigh’s Mysteries of the Ordinary book, which has just been published. Gary Haigh also has a portfolio in the Adelaide Art Photographers 1970-2000 book. James MCardle is undertaking a similar, but different, recovery of Melbourne photography in the 1970s.
The delay in publishing the Bowden book is primarily due to financial constraints. I am basically broke from financing the 2019 Mallee Routes exhibition at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery and the Adelaide Art Photographers book. It will take me all of 2020 to pay off the incurred debt, and then to start saving some money to pay for the editing and the printing.
I also need to continue working on the texts for the book, which have been put on the back burner.
