Whilst I was going through my large format archives I came across a black and white industrial topographical photo of the old Osbourne Power Station and the Penrice Soda Products plant. I’d forgotten all about it, even though I had posted it on my Flickr site circa 2012.

The photo would have been made before 2012 as the Osbourne Power Station was demolished during the 1990s, whilst the Penrice Soda plant closed around 2014. The photos would probably have been made in the late 1980s as that was when I started to photograph around Port Adelaide and the Osbourne area.

Some of the 1990s Osbourne photos included residential housing, which was adjacent to the heavy industry. In many ways the Osbourne/Port Adelaide photos were a continuation and extension of the Bowden photos. The commonality was heavy industry and working class suburbs.
